Mission Briefing

Administrator Jayanti

I have profoundly troubling news, Commander.

Governor Prescott has been compromised by the Evolved Intelligence.

ALEPH has analyzed the footage of the attack in the spaceport and has concluded that the Morat agent never intended to kill the Governor. It had several opportunities to fire on him, but was clearly intent on establishing physical contact, even at the expense of its own life. It seems clear now that the unknown weapon the agent wielded was some new Sepsitor delivery system.

We have been regarding the attack as a failure. It was not.

In the days since the attack, the Governor's has employed his Apex-level security clearance to access materials relating to planetary security and intelligence. These files have no correlation with the Governor's normal duties and are wildly outside of his standard access patterns. Thus, it is likely that he is being directed to access them by an outside agent. Through the governor, the Evolved Intelligence now has free rein within our data systems. This cannot be allowed to continue.

When ALEPH discovered this breach, it moved immediately to revoke the Governor's network access and security clearance. However, advanced countermeasure systems-- beyond the capabilities of the governor's data security team-- were in place to shut us out. It is likely that the Evolved Intelligence is responsible for these countermeasures as well.

ALEPH has appraised the Hexaedron of the situation, and they share our concerns. Since attempts to remotely shut down the Governor's security clearance have failed, PanOceanian Command has authorized the Human Coalition to interface directly with terminals in their secure data centers. Only by expunging the records manually can we end this intrusion.

Two sites must be purged by users with Apex-level clearance in Coalition systems. We lack the time to transfer this clearance to more appropriate agents, but members of the Coalition Council already possess it. I will sanitize the primary data core, while Imperial Agent Lao Shui is on her way to expunge the backups held in an auxiliary network. At the same time, Daryādār Kadivar has been given the task of shutting down the orbital relay both sites are connected to, so that the credential information cannot be moved elsewhere.

I have hailed all three facilities to appraise them of our delegates' arrival.

None have responded.

Commander... assume the worst.

  • 2 Combined Army: Collect Administrator Jayanti's cube.
  • 2 Your Spec-Ops either damages an enemy model, or succeeds on a roll that completes an objective.

Terrain

  • A secure data center adjacent to CSDEF in Syldavia.

Deployment & Setup

  • Before the Initiative Roll is made, after both players have chosen their Army Lists, place the following as indicated on the map above:
    • Five Consoles (A)
  • Both players will deploy on opposite sides of the game table, in a standard Deployment Zone 12 inches deep.

Special Rules & Objectives

  • Consoles: The five Consoles on the board make up a secure transmission network. A player is considered to control an Console if he is the only model with a Specialist model in a non-Null state in base contact with the Console.
  • Jayanti: Administrator Jayanti must be included in the Attacker's army at a cost of 24 pts and 0.5 SWC.

Administrator Jayanti is a character model and is therefore subject to rules for Character Death.

  • Transmit Command Codes: As a short skill while in base contact with any Console, Administrator Jayanti may attempt to transmit her command codes by succeeding on a normal WIP roll as a short skill. On a failure, this roll may be reattempted as many times as required, spending the corresponding short skill each time. This transmission may only be attempted while the Human Coalition controls three or more Consoles.
  • If the Human Coalition successfully transmits Jayanti's command codes, they will secure the AI Support Routine Battle Prep for the Week 5 mega-battle.

  • Collect Jayanti's Cube: Any model may take Jayanti's cube by rendering her to a Null state with a melee attack, or by performing a Coup de Grace on her while she is in the Unconscious state.
  • If the Combined Army successfully collects Jayanti's cube, they will secure the AI Support Routine Battle Prep for the Week 5 mega-battle.

Battle Prep: AI Support Routine

Battle Prep rewards apply a bonus to all friendly players during the Week 5 mega-battle.

Benefit: During Week 5, at the start of the game, each allied player receives an AI Support token. Once during the game, a player may spend his AI Support token to re-roll any WIP roll after seeing the result of all dice rolled.
